WHY YOU SHOULD BE INCLUDING BOXING IN YOUR WORKOUTS...?

Boxing is an AWESOME full body workout which will help develop strength and cardiovascular fitness.  In addition to this, you can expect to see improvements in skill-related parameters of fitness, including balance, coordination, reactivity, and agility.

Boxing is great for burning calories and you can expect to burn between 300 – 400 calories every half an hour. (Based on a 64Kg Adult.)

You can pound out those sit ups but they wont give you a flat stomach, boxing will!  My Signature TNGBOX sessions bring back the science of movement in boxing incorporating thoracic rotation which means you will utilise large core muscle groups to generate power from the hip extension.

Boxing is the ultimate high-intensity interval training workout, as most boxing rounds alternate between periods of maximum effort and active recovery. It is both an aerobic and an anaerobic workout.  That means as the workout intensity increases, your body requires more energy than aerobic metabolism can provide, and suddenly you’re also in anaerobic training territory—the type of exercise that builds strength, speed, and power, and boosts your metabolism. So, compared to running at a steady pace, boxing burns more calories in less time.

What better way to destress than letting off on the punch bag or doing some pad work? Not only is it a healthy and productive way to help you let go of tension, but the rush of endorphins released will make you happier too.

Most cardio workouts focus only on lower body exercises. With boxing, the primary moves come from your upper half, while still requiring a good level of agility and coordination from the lower half.

We’ve all hit that point where our routine becomes monotonous... you’ve been there before and completed  squat / treadmill / moves 1000 times!  However with boxing training, there is always more to learn whether you are working on your defense technique, or an adrenaline pumping sparring session.  Boxing training is usually group based or with a partner, so is super social too!
